The odd yet alluring dishes were created in collaboration with recipe website Kurashiru, who has released the recipes for anyone to try. They include potato chip fried rice and instant ramen salad. In the film, there is a scene where the the heroine, Hina Amano, prepares a series of creative dishes for protagonist Hodaka Morishima. For those outside Japan, you’ll have to wait until early 2020 to see Tenki no Ko (Weathering With You) but for fans looking to get just a little taste of the film, you’re in luck. Other members of the crew include Masayoshi Tanaka (“Your Name”) in charge of the character design, Atsushi Tamura head of animation, and artistic director Hiroshi Takiguchi (“The Garden of Words”, “Ajin”).Makoto Shinkai, whose hit animated feature film Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name) put him on the global map, has a new film that just landed in theaters in Japan.
The two protagonists are voiced by Kotaro Daigo (Hodaka) e da Nana Mori (Hina), and the them song “Ai ni Deikiru Koto wa Mada Aru Kai” is composed by popular j-rock band RADWIMPS that had greatly contributed to the success of “Your Name”. Produced by CoMix Wave (same studio behind “Your Name” and “Flavors of Youth”) the film premiered in Japanese Cinemas on the 19th of July and it's already a huge hit. “The Garden of Words”, “Journey to Aghartha”, “5 Centimeters per Second”) “ Weathering With You” (Tenki no Ko) is a fable about friensdhip and climate, written and diected by acclaimed director Makoto Shinkai(“Your Name”.
